How to Change the Battery in a BMW Key?
Model: BMW BMW Various
Changing the battery in a BMW vehicle key takes less than a minute, and all you need is a flathead screwdriver. First, grasp the end of the mechanical blade of the key and pull it out of its housing. Now locate the slot indicated in the video on your remote and insert the screwdriver tip, pry it open, and access the key for replacement. Note: unlike most remotes, BMW keys use a CR2450 battery.
