How to change the battery in a BMW remote control?

The battery used to power the BMW remote control is a button cell identifiable by the code CR2450. Before starting the replacement procedure, ensure you have a new (not expired) battery on hand. Begin by extracting the blade from the mechanical key. This can be done by pressing the appropriate button while pulling the key outward. Use a flat screwdriver to pry off the battery cover, which you can now remove and replace with the new one. Reposition the plastic cover and the key blade. You're done! Remember to dispose of the used battery in the appropriate containers.
