To replace the fuel door on a BMW 7 Series, first completely unscrew the cap after opening the fuel door. Once the cap is open, pry at the bottom of the cover surrounding the cap. This can then be fully detached, removing the corresponding fuel door along with it. You can then install a new plastic cover around the cap, which includes a new fuel door: after installation, ensure it opens and closes properly.
