Among the maintenance tasks that are often neglected is the replacement of coolant: it is common to top off with regular tap water, which over time tends to cause rust in the system. Therefore, if you notice that the color of the fluid in the expansion tank is turning brownish, it is advisable to drain it and replace it with appropriate antifreeze, also performing a system flush.

The drain plug is located right under the radiator, and it is sufficient to unscrew it to allow the fluid to drain. Once drained, fill the system, circulate the fluid until it reaches operating temperature, and drain again.

Repeat the process until the fluid is perfectly clean, then refill it again.
