Check Coolant Level

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Antifreeze coolant

First, perform this check with the engine cold to avoid any unpleasant issues.
Open the hood and ensure it is securely supported.
Locate the cap of the coolant reservoir: it is at the front, near the bend of the hose connecting the intake to the air filter housing.
Open the cap and check that the float rod extends from the cap; if not, top up with coolant (or water) until the float rises; then screw the cap back on.
