Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: BMW X3 E83, MK 1 - Years 2003-2010
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located in the engine compartment, just below the windshield, in a central position: unscrew the three screws securing the filter cover and lift it to extract the old filter; thoroughly clean the filter housing, removing any dirt residue, and install the new one (it is recommended to choose one with activated carbon) following the airflow direction indicated by arrows on the filter itself. When replacing the cabin air filter, it is also advisable to sanitize the air vents with a germicidal spray.
