The following information will help you perform the routine maintenance service by replacing the engine oil and oil filter on the BMW X3. First, lift the vehicle and start loosening the engine oil drain plug, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Next, remove the oil filter cartridge using the appropriate wrench, accessing it from the engine compartment, as shown in the video.

At this point, unscrew the fill cap and top off with new engine oil, pouring the correct amount of oil. Finally, reset the maintenance reminder!
