Instructions for Removing Air Vents on BMW X3

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010

You want to replace the air vent on your X3. Remove the vent and replace it with a new one, here's how. Insert a plastic trim tool into the frame of the trim on the outer side of the air vent. Slide the trim tool along the frame until it detaches from the dashboard plastics. Remove the air vent once it is disconnected from the plastics (disconnect the actuator cable). Once the air vent is removed, you can install a new one. Secure the new vent along with the flow vane adjustment cable. Remove the opposite vent in the same manner.
