How to Replace the Brake Pads on a BMW 5 Series

To replace the brake pads on a BMW 5 Series, lift the car so you can loosen the wheel bolts that need to be removed: this will give you access to the corresponding brake caliper, which can be removed in the same way for both front and rear wheels. You will need to unscrew the bolts that secure the caliper to the rotor so that it can be removed and the pads inside can be extracted: after removal, you can insert the new ones, securing the caliper back onto the rotor.
