Replacement of the automatic gear knob on BMW X1 E84.

If you are thinking that it's time to replace the gear shift knob on your BMW X1 E84, in this video you will find all the instructions in a few simple steps that will allow you to do the operation independently. To start, put the gear in neutral and remove the old knob, simply pull it forcefully outwards and then detach the fabric cover by unclipping it from the edges. Then, make sure to properly remove the two electrical connections from the cover. Some aftermarket knob models, like the one in the video, have the connections directly on the knob instead of the cover, so make sure to reconnect the cables correctly (following the colors) to the new attachments. After that, perform the assembly operation in reverse, first fixing the cover and inserting the knob shaft into the appropriate housing.
