Rear Shock Absorber Replacement

Replacing the rear shock absorbers is definitely simpler than the front ones since the shock and spring are not co-axial; therefore, lift the vehicle on a lift, remove the rear wheel, and access the nut that secures the bottom of the shock absorber to the suspension control arm; then apply a support jack under the suspension, remove the nut, and free the bottom of the shock absorber; then remove the jack, lower the car, and access the trunk by removing the load floor cover, the trunk trim, and the side carpet lining to reach the body dome and complete the shock absorber removal; attach the boot and mount to the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation.
