Control Arm Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Lift the front of the car on the side where you need to work using a jack. Remove the front wheel. Locate the position of the control arm and, before proceeding with the disassembly, remove the bolt that connects the anti-roll bar to the wheel. Now, remove the bolt that connects the control arm to the wheel. Use the appropriate wrenches to remove the other bolts that secure the control arm in place (to the vehicle's axle and the body). Remove the control arm and replace it with the new one, following the same steps shown in the images but in reverse order. The vehicle on which this maintenance operation is performed, as seen in the images, is a BMW 3 Series.
