Instructions for Replacing the Link Rod

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

The link rod, commonly known as the sway bar link, connects the shock absorber to the sway bar. It consists of a shaft with two spherical ends that tend to wear out and become noisy, especially when driving on rough surfaces. Replacing them is very easy; simply lift the vehicle, remove the front wheel, and unscrew the nuts securing the ball joint to the respective mounts. Once the old link rod is removed, proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one (it is recommended to replace both link rods).

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
