Instructions for Replacing Window Switches

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

The breakage of window switches is a common issue, but replacing them is simple and cost-effective. The switches are located on the center console, at the base of the gear shift lever. To replace them, you need to remove the trim. Start by pulling off the gear shift knob, which will come off with the control rod. Next, lift the boot while disconnecting the underlying connectors, then detach the trim that houses the switch panel to remove the damaged one and insert the new one. Proceed in reverse order to complete the installation.
