Replacing the Rear Sway Bar

Model: BMW Serie 3 E36 - Years 1990-2001
Part: Anti-roll bar

Position the vehicle on a lift to comfortably access the mechanics. Locate the faulty sway bar and, using a 17mm wrench with an extension, remove the retaining nuts at the base of the various metal support brackets. Once the bolts are removed, slide the bar out of the support and completely remove it, being careful of the exhaust pipes. At this point, you can install the new sway bar. Again, being cautious of the exhaust pipes, insert the new bar into the correct position to facilitate fastening with the various supports that were previously removed.
