Removing Climate Control Buttons

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Remove the climate control buttons from the center console, just below the radio. This is extremely simple since they are secured with side clips. Use a plastic lever to insert laterally on the sides of the climate control buttons to press and release the clips, allowing you to pull the buttons forward enough to disconnect the rear connectors and complete the removal. The center connector has a bayonet lock that must be released and rotated to extract it.
