How to Clean and Polish Your Front Headlight to Like-New Condition

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Open the hood. Protect the bodywork near the headlight with masking tape. Take a sheet of fine sandpaper, wet it, and start rubbing it on the headlight lens. Continue until the yellow haze disappears. At this point, use a finer sandpaper and keep rubbing the headlight. After a while, switch to an even finer sandpaper. Once this step is done, remove the protective tape and dry the headlight. Now, take some specialized polishing compound and apply it to the lens. Use a cleaning tool and rub it on the headlight lens until it shines. Finally, apply another protective product and continue using the tool to polish it. And that's it. This maintenance procedure was performed on a BMW 3 Series.
