To replace the instrument cluster bulb on a BMW 5 Series, remove the screws located at the top of the instrument cluster. Once these screws are loosened, you can pull the cluster out of its housing to disconnect the connectors at the back.

At this point, detach the cover on the back of the instrument cluster to extract the bulbs inside and replace them with new ones. After replacing, reassemble everything.
