How to Adjust the Handbrake on a BMW 3 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Parking brake

Video tutorial
Detailed instructions - To adjust the handbrake on a BMW 3 Series, lift the vehicle with a jack so that the left rear wheel is off the ground. Once the wheel is lifted, remove the nuts that secure it to the hub to access the underlying drum. By removing the drum screws, you can locate the washer between the handbrake shoes: this washer can be tightened or loosened to adjust the handbrake's firmness. Repeat the same procedure by removing the leather boot covering the handbrake and adjusting the bolt underneath.
