How to Remove the Glove Compartment from a BMW X5

To remove the glove compartment from a BMW X5, open the passenger door to detach the side panel of the dashboard. Under this panel, there will be a cord that needs to be pulled to open the compartment. Once it is open, pull the panel at its base to release all the underlying retaining clips. This will allow the entire compartment to be extracted from its housing, so you can install the new replacement part, securing it properly with its clips.
