In the BMW 3 Series, it can happen that the trunk gets stuck, for example, due to a failure of the lock actuator or the related release button. In these cases, it is still possible to perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the left rear door, then lower the backrest of the seat by operating the corresponding lever. Next, go inside the trunk, remove the cover of the panel, and pull the indicated cord towards you to unlock the latch.
