How to Open the Rear Hatch of the BMW 3 Series When It's Locked?

To unlock the rear hatch of the BMW 3 Series when it's locked, there are two options: the first is to pull the key from the top of the remote and insert it into the designated lock to open it manually. If this method does not work, go inside the cabin and fully recline the center passenger seat. This way, you can pull a cord that has its end right at the bottom of the trunk. Pulling this cord will open the rear hatch, allowing access to the trunk.
