Replacing Stabilizer Bar Bushings

Model: BMW Serie 7 E68, E65, MK 4, E67, E66 - Years 2001-2008
Part: Bushings

This guide shows how to replace the bushings of the stabilizer bar. To facilitate removal, disconnect the bar. It is a very simple job; just disconnect the link at the end that is connected to the stabilizer bar and above the shock absorber. This gives you more room to pull the bar towards you and get the bushings closer for replacement. Since they need to be replaced, it is advisable to grease them well during reassembly to ensure they fit properly. If the procedure is performed correctly and carefully, the annoying noise from your car should be gone.

How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406

How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
