Here is a brief procedure for removing and replacing the coolant temperature sensor on the BMW 1 Series. First, open the bonnet and start by removing the plastic cover above the engine block; then locate the temperature sensor, which is found low near the right intake hose, as shown in the video. Now disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the temperature sensor, replacing it with the new original one; reconnect the electrical connection and secure the sensor properly, monitoring the engine temperature.
