Shocks are a system designed to slow down the movements of a machine's suspension. If your car has many miles on it, it's necessary to replace the shocks. The replacement process is complex but can be done independently without needing to go to a trusted mechanic. Shocks are essential for the safety of any machine, as they effectively dampen the car's bumps. You will need a compressor, or alternatively, you can use a pneumatic gun; a spring compressor tool, and finally, a jack. First, loosen the bolts, then take the jack, position it correctly, and start lifting the car, specifically on the left side. At this point, you can completely remove the bolts and take off the wheel. Next, open the hood and remove all the screws you find above the shock mount. Then, you also need to remove the two screws on the spindle and the one positioned on the stabilizer, which runs parallel to the "affected" shock that will come out on its own.
