BMW X3 - Video tutorial

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010
Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: Engine mounts replacement instructions

The failure of the engine mounts is a fairly recurring defect on many BMW models but fortunately it is easy both to find the spare part in the after market and to replace it; place the car on special car platforms to facilitate access to the car floor and remove the splash guard; then remove the engine air filter box and use a ratchet wrench with at least two extensions in order to access the fixing pins of the supports directly from the engine compartment; once the central pins have been unscrewed, lift the motor with a jack and unscrew the fixing pins of the support flanges to be able to remove them and insert the new ones by first tightening the flanges pins and then lowering the motor and tightening the central ones.
