To change the engine mounts on a BMW 320d E90 (M47), the first mount is the gray one with a rubber bushing and internal oil. Remove the windshield washer hose for more space. Using a 16 mm wrench and three extensions (two long and one short), loosen the upper bolt of the mount, then the two Torx bolts (T12) and the mounting bracket, otherwise the mount will not come out. Lift the engine with a jack, placing it near the transmission on a sturdy point (use a piece of wood to avoid damage) to remove the mount and replace it.
