Instructions for Removing Front Bumper Trim

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Front bumper

In the center of the front bumper, there is a trim piece with a chrome insert that is simply clipped onto the bumper itself; it consists of two side strips plus the central area where the license plate is applied. Use a plastic spatula to pry along the edges to release the two side strips. To remove the central insert, first, pull out the retaining clips located at the top and bottom. Once these clips are removed, pry along the perimeter to detach it and complete the removal.
