How to Replace the Radiator Hoses on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Radiator

If the hoses connecting the radiator to the engine become damaged, you need to replace them: these are not generic hoses but specifically shaped ones with quick-connect fittings secured with special clips. However, these replacement parts are also available in the aftermarket at reasonable prices. The first recommendation is to let the engine cool down to avoid unpleasant burns when draining the coolant by opening the drain plug and the vent plugs. Once drained, remove the securing clips located at the flanges on the ends of the hoses and take them out to install the new ones, securing them with the clips.
