How do you replace the battery of the remote control of the BMW 6 Series?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW 6 Series remote control, you need to remove the key from the top of the device by pressing the button located on the back: once this has been removed, you can pry open the remote control and locate the battery inside. The battery can now be removed from its slot and replaced with a new one: once the new battery is inserted, you can close the remote control by reinserting the back panel and repositioning the key.
