If the cigarette lighter in your BMW X1 E84 has suddenly stopped working, the first thing to do is check the status of the corresponding fuse, whose location is shown in this video. As demonstrated, the fuse is located in the box inside the cabin, specifically in the lower area of the dashboard on the driver's side.

It is a 20A fuse and is labeled F08. If it is blown, make sure to use a replacement with the same specifications and always work with the vehicle turned off to avoid damaging the socket.
