If you need to remove the rear light of your BMW 2 Series, whether for cleaning the light, updating bulbs, or other reasons, you should know that you don't need to go to a shop; you can easily do it yourself. Open the trunk, and you'll notice a plastic cover next to the light in question, held by two screws.

Once these are removed, you'll have access to more screws, specifically those for the light assembly. After removing these last two, you can pull the light assembly out and disconnect the electrical connector.
