How to Replace the Air Conditioning Fan Motor and Filter on the Buick Verano Mk1

This guide shows how to replace the air conditioning fan motor and filter on the Buick Verano Mk1. The first step is to disconnect the battery located in the engine compartment. From the front passenger area, use a 10 mm wrench to remove the lower part of the glove box and disconnect the cable. Remove the plastic trim piece from the side edge of the dashboard. Remove the three T15 Torx screws from the bottom of the compartment; with the drawer open, remove the four 7 mm bolts from the corners of the drawer. Pull out the glove box and disconnect the internal lamp cable. From the bottom of the footwell, remove the three bolts from the air duct, and remove the two 10 mm bolts that hold the metal plate under the fan motor. Remove the remaining air ducts and disconnect the fan power cable. Remove the fan mounting screws and replace it with a new unit. From the top of the fan, open the protective cover, remove the old filter, and install the replacement. Reassemble everything in position and check the proper operation of the fan.
