Get a wrench to remove the screws securing the upper plate. Then remove the negative terminal first and the positive terminal second, and pull the battery out of the engine compartment.

Take the new battery and place it in its housing, then reconnect the positive terminal first and the negative terminal second, and screw the screws for the plate back in.
