To replace the shift knob on a Buick Regal, use a tool to pry up the trim around the shift lever. Once this is lifted, fully remove the shift boot to access the clamp underneath the shift knob. Loosen this clamp to completely detach the shift knob along with the corresponding leather boot. At this point, you can install the new shift knob, securing it with the clamp and repositioning the shift boot.
