Removing the front door panel on a Chevrolet Captiva is a relatively easy task. First, open the door and, using a suitable screwdriver, remove the plastic cover that hides the screw, then unscrew the screw located in the handle housing. Next, remove the chrome plastic trim that finishes the door handle with a suitable screwdriver, and unscrew the two screws located under the trim on the handle itself. At this point, unclip the panel from the clips holding it in place by pulling the panel, gripping it by the 'pocket' at the bottom, and then sliding it upwards. Now you can disconnect the cable that connects the release lever to the lock, and you're done.
