First, retrieve the old remote, then extend the emergency key and open the rear cover by gripping it from the indicated edge. Next, remove the battery, insert a flathead screwdriver into the seam, and pry apart the two halves along the entire perimeter. At this point, you can remove both the internal circuit and the metal key, place them into the replacement cover, and reassemble everything.
