Watch this video to learn how to change the steering wheel on the 1980 Corvette C3: you can easily find the replacement online; for example, we suggest code 275283182797 on eBay for £180.55 plus £45.35 for shipping. To remove the old steering wheel, you will need a star screwdriver, but first, disconnect the battery to prevent the horn from sounding unexpectedly.

Inside, there are brackets and spacers that need to be removed (take a photo to ensure everything goes back in the same order), then remove the three support screws, followed by the screws that actually hold the steering wheel to the column, remove the horn, and refit the new steering wheel by replacing all the brackets and spacers you removed, referring to your photo.

Refit the horn button, reconnect the battery, and test its operation.

The job is complete.
