Replacing the Diesel Filter on a Citroën C4 II HDi

The second generation Citroën C4 has a cartridge diesel filter, not a metal canister. The procedure is similar on almost all PSA diesel engines. Locate the filter under the bonnet, on the left side, near the battery, mounted on a bracket. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety, clean the area around the filter with a cloth to prevent dirt from entering the system, and disconnect the fuel lines, one in and one out. Unclip the filter from the bracket and remove the old filter, which will be disposed of properly. Prepare the new filter, which can be found on Amazon with the code B0893191QX at a price of £16.24, with free delivery for Prime customers. Lubricate the new O-ring with clean diesel; if the filter has a moisture sensor, transfer it from the old filter, prepare a catch basin, and fill the new filter with clean diesel. Position the filter in the bracket, reconnect the fuel lines and the electrical connector, reconnect the battery, and turn the ignition 2-3 times without starting the engine, then attempt to start.
