How to Change a Wheel on a Citroën C2

Changing a wheel on a Citroën C2 can be a bit tricky as this model has the spare wheel located under the boot rather than inside. First, gather the tools supplied with the car, which are usually located under the passenger seat; among the tools, there will be a lever to unscrew the fastening bolt of the wheel compartment. The compartment housing the spare wheel consists of a metal structure located under the boot and is supported by a hook screwed to a bolt inside it. By lifting the carpet inside the boot near the bumper side, you will notice a bolt that needs to be loosened with the aforementioned tools. Once the bolt is loosened a couple of turns, you can lift the metal structure containing the wheel to release the fastening bolt. After this, the metal structure will detach from the car, allowing you to extract the spare wheel, where the jack will be located. At this point, proceed to change the wheel by placing the jack in the designated locations on the inner side of the wing and partially lifting the car. When the wheel is almost off the ground, begin to loosen the four bolts securing the wheel to the hub. Once the bolts are loosened, lift the car enough to remove the wheel and fully unscrew the bolts to detach the wheel and replace it with the spare. After completing the operation, the replaced wheel cannot be temporarily placed inside the boot but must be put back inside the metal structure and reattached with the fastening bolt, as unfortunately, with the spare wheel compartment empty, there is a risk that the metal structure may detach due to a bump and start rubbing against the asphalt.
