Is the gear knob damaged? Let's see how to change the gear knob on a Citroen C5. Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame (if it needs replacing). Take the knob in your hands and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick (pull it upwards). Install the frame under the new leather gaiter with the clips (if removed). Lower the cover over the lever until the frame clicks into the centre console. Take the new knob and push it onto the stick present in the centre console until it is secured. Check that the knob is correctly installed with the gaiter.
