How to disassemble the key to replace the battery? Disassemble the key of the Citroen C1 and see how to replace the dead battery. Take the remote key and unscrew the screw located on the back cover of the key. Remove the worn battery, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your remote by pressing it until you hear it click into place (screw the screw that secures the plastics). Check the correct operation of the remote key. Operate the locking buttons to verify functionality.
