Then apply the new gasket (it consists of two metal elements due to the high temperatures involved) and the corresponding manifold; finally, tighten the fixing nuts using a torque wrench (excessive torque could damage the studs) and apply a new gasket at the joint between the manifold and the exhaust pipe.
