Complete Cylinder Head Overhaul Instructions

When performing a complete overhaul of the cylinder head, it is important to machine the surface to eliminate any warping; after this operation, it is advisable to check for perfect flatness using a ground bar and a feeler gauge for valves. Proceed with the replacement of the valve guide seals by releasing the return spring with the appropriate arch clamp; extract the valve, the old seal, and insert the new one, lubricating it generously; then reinsert the spring. Next, install the new camshaft, lubricating it with clean oil, secure the end stop brackets, and insert the respective oil seals, lubricating both the seats and the seals themselves. Now install the intake manifold applying the new gaskets in their respective grooves and tightening the fastening nuts with a torque wrench. Then check the surface of the cylinder block, re-tap the threads of the fastening holes of the cylinder head, place the new gasket, the cylinder head itself, and the valve cover; use a new set of bolts for fastening the cylinder head, which will be done with a torque wrench and in a graduated manner. Complete the installation of the timing belt respecting the timing references and then adjust the valve clearance. Install the exhaust manifold with the new gaskets and the rocker cover.
