Replacement of Cylinder Head Bolt Set

When performing maintenance that requires the removal of the cylinder head, such as replacing the corresponding gasket, it is always advisable to use a new set of bolts for subsequent fastening; start by cleaning the threads of the fixing holes, ensuring to select a tap with the correct diameter and thread pitch and to avoid leaving any debris in the cylinders; once all holes are cleaned, position the new gasket and then the cylinder head, prepare the new set of bolts applying copper grease to the bottom of the thread and just under the head, and proceed with tightening in a cross pattern, using both a torque wrench and a calibrated wrench.
