When the engine light comes on, it indicates that the vehicle requires an oil and filter change, so perform the scheduled maintenance. This maintenance must be carried out for your safety and that of others, and it should be done before resetting the light.

To reset the light, get in the vehicle, close all four doors, and turn the key to position 1: Press the button to the right of the speedometer, near the fuel gauge. A counter will light up and start a countdown from 10: continue to hold the button until it reaches zero.

Release the button and turn the key to position 0. Restart the ignition. The light should be off.
