How the Blind Spot Monitoring System Works on the Citroen C4

This video explains how the blind spot monitoring system works on the Citroen C4: it is a very useful system because a portion of accidents occurs when the driver attempts to overtake and does not see the vehicle driving parallel to their area. This system relies on highly sensitive ultrasonic sensors integrated into the edges of the front and rear bumpers on each side of the car, monitoring an area of three metres diagonally behind the vehicle, covering the blind spots. The system operates between 12 and 87 miles per hour, making it particularly suitable for use in city traffic. When the system detects a vehicle in the blind spot, a LED lights up in the side mirror: it alerts not only of overtaking vehicles but also of those that have already been in the blind spot for an extended period, posing a danger when changing lanes.
