Operation: How to replace the gearbox oil in the Citroen C3.

To replace the gearbox oil of the Citroen C3, we start by opening the engine hood, remove the clamp holding the upper air pipe, disconnect the manifold near the just removed clamp, remove the air inlet duct by releasing it with a flathead screwdriver, unscrew the quarter turn that holds the air filter box, remove the air box by tilting it upwards and pulling it towards us; now we find the cap of the gearbox box manifold, remove it, insert a funnel with a tube into the hole of the gearbox box, pour transmission cleaner mixed with the used oil; once all the cleaner is poured, put the cap of the gearbox box back on, reposition the air box, attach it, reattach the air inlet pipe, reattach the clamp of the upper pipe with the manifold. Now we start the car engine, keep it running at idle for 10-15 minutes and then turn it off. Now we raise the front of the car, remove the lower protective cover in order to reach the oil drain plug of the gearbox box, with a special key, unscrew the oil drain plug while placing a large container underneath; replace the drain bolt with a new one, screw it in by hand and then continue with the key; now we lower the car, reassemble the air box with the pipes and the manifold, remove the oil filling cap again, insert the funnel with the tube, pour the exact amount of new oil, put the filling cap back on and finally reassemble the components of the air box.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
