There can be many reasons to replace your car's lock, from a thief trying to steal it, leaving only this small damage to the key that could break inside. However, nothing that cannot be fixed by following this short tutorial. It is not necessary to remove the inner door panel; simply unscrew the Torx bolt located in a hole on the side of the door corresponding to the lock. Remove the damaged lock and insert the new lock, tighten the bolt again, and you're done.
