Replacing the Remote Battery of the Cupra Formentor

The battery that powers the remote of the Cupra Formentor will deplete over time and use, and a warning will appear on the instrument cluster indicating it needs replacement. To do this, remove the emergency key from inside by pressing the side button, using it as a lever and helping with your fingers. Remove the rear cover to access the battery compartment. Use a sharp tool to pry at the edge and remove the old battery, insert the new one, ensuring it is the correct model and respecting the correct polarity. Refit the cover and insert the emergency key back into its housing.
